IBPS PO PRELIMS expected cutoff: Overview
In this article, we have discussed about the IBPS PO Prelims expected cutoff as per the exams held on 4th December and 11th December 2021. IBPS PO Prelims exam notification was released on released on 19th October 2021 on the official website ibps.in.
Many candidates applied for the IBPS PO prelims application form. The admit card for IBPS PO Prelims 2021 was released on 20th November 2021. Candidates are appearing for IBPS PO Prelims exam on 4th December and 11th December 2021.
IBPS PO PRELIMS expected cutoff: Exam pattern
IBPS PO Prelims exam pattern consist of three sections: English Language, Reasoning Ability, Quantitative Aptitude. The total marks including all the sections are 100. The time duration for IBPS PO Prelims exam is 60 minutes.
Each question carries 1 mark. There is penalty for wrong answers marked in the Objective Tests. For every wrong answer ¼ marks is deducted. There is no mark for the unattempt questions. IBPS PO Prelims table shown below.

IBPS PO PRELIMS expected cutoff: Exam held on 4th December 2021
As per the candidates, who appeared for IBPS PO Prelims exam on 4 slots held on 4th December 2021, the level of the paper is Moderate. The average attempt of all the candidates is around 60.

IBPS PO PRELIMS expected cutoff: Category wise expected cutoff as per exam on 4th December 2021
As IBPS PO Prelims 2021 is scheduled on 4th December 2021 and 11th December 2021. As per the level of question and attempted number of questions by the candidates, the expected cutoff IBPS PO Prelims 2021 is given below:

IBPS PO PRELIMS expected cutoff : Overall paper analysis on 4th December 2021 and 11th December 2021:
1. Reasoning Ability: This section consists of 35 questions and sectional time duration is 20 minutes. In almost all the 4 slots of IBPS PO Prelims exam held on 4th December 2021, there were 5 puzzles and seating arrangements. Some of these puzzles carried 3 to 4 questions (marks). Some of the pattern of questions was:
a. Parallel two rows with 7 persons each.
b. Unknown number of persons sitting in a row.
c. Floors with flats
d. Puzzle related to Scheduling
In the last slot of IBPS PO Prelims on 11th December 2021, there were no questions on Floors and flats. There were no parallel two rows seating arrangement. There was a puzzle related to Scheduling. Thus, the type of questions asked in different slots were not necessarily of the same type.
2. Quantitative Aptitude: This section also consists of 35 questions and sectional time duration is 20 minutes. In all the slots held on 4th December 2021, there were about 3 Data Interpretations, each consisted of 5 questions. Some of the pattern of questions asked in Quantitative Aptitude section was:
a. Data Interpretation based on Line, Table, Pie chart).
b. Data Interpretation based on caselet.
c. Quadratic Equation (about 6 questions)
On the exam held in the last slot on 11th December 2021, there were no questions on Data Interpretation based on caselet. Even the questions related to Number Series were not present in the conclusion slot. Candidates should observe that type of questions may differ as per the day of exam or in different slots.
3. English Language: This section consists of 30 questions with sectional time duration of 20 minutes. All the slots consisted on Reading Comprehension with about 8 to 9 questions. Some of the pattern of questions asked in English Language section was:
a. Reading Comprehension (about 8-9 questions)
b. Sentences with error detection (about 5 questions)
c. Rearrangement of sentences (about 5 questions)
On the exam held on 11th December 2021, there were 5-6 questions on Cloze test. There was a paragraph within which there were blanks to be filled with appropriated words. As IBPS PO prelims exam was held in different slots on 4th December and 11th December 2021, so IBPS PO prelims expected cutoff is decided considering the normalization of all the slots.
IBPS PO PRELIMS expected cutoff: Strategy for preparation of IBPS PO Mains
Now that IBPS PO Prelims is over, candidates should not worry about the IBPS PO Prelims expected cutoff or IBPS PO Prelims 2021 Result, rather they should start preparing for Mains exam now itself. Candidates must have different strategies to deal with IBPS PO Mains exam questions, as they are of somewhat higher level.
Strategy to prepare for IBPS PO Mains exam:
1. General/ Economy/ Banking Awareness:
General Awareness section is the key. General Awareness Section consists of 40 questions with equal marks. This section includes questions related to everyday current affairs, recent banking news, static GK, important dates of the year, national parks in different states, tagline of different banks, different Government schemes recently launched.
2. Reasoning and Computer Aptitude:
Be ready to face tough level puzzles. Yes, candidates must be mentally prepared to face the high level and Seating arrangements in the Mains exams. There may be lengthy and twisted puzzles to make candidates confuse to attempt or leave, but they have to be patient enough. Candidates must be choosy while selecting the questions to attempt. Not all questions are made to be attempted, so practice such puzzles and seating arrangements as much as possible before the real face off.
3. Data Analysis and Interpretation:
As observed in the previous year IBPS PO Mains Papers, the level of Data Interpretation questions is always of high level. Candidates need to be ready to face such lengthy and tough DI questions.
4. English Language:
As always to cope up with the questions in English Language section, candidates need to have full control over grammatical rules. Candidates should refer the previous year IBPS PO Mains and previous year SBI PO Mains. For the questions related to Reading Comprehension, candidates should improve their reading skills.
