SSC CGL Exam 2022 Notification: Overview
SSC has released the SSC CGL Exam Notification 2022 along with the exam calendar for the coming year. SSC CGL Exam Notification 2022: Age Eligibility Criteria
There are different age criteria for different posts in SSC CGL Exam Notification 2022. The age limit for different posts varies between 18 and 32 years as of 01st January 2022. The detailed age criteria as per the post are given in the detailed notification pdf.

Mandatory Educational Qualifications:
The essential educational qualification for all the posts is Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institute. Desirable qualifications for different posts are different.
For the post of Assistant Audit Officer/Assistant Accounts Officer, the desirable qualifications are Masters in Business Administration (Finance) or Masters in Business Economics or Masters in Commerce or Masters in Business Studies.
Desirable Qualifications for the post of Assistant in NCLAT are Degree in Law from a recognized university. For the post of Research Assistant in NHRC, the desirable qualification is a Degree in Law or Human Rights from a recognized University or equivalent.
SSC CGL Exam Notification 2022: SSC CGL Syllabus
SSC CGL exam is conducted in four different tiers namely Tier I, Tier II, Tier III, and Tier IV. Among these, Tier I and Tier II are Computer Based Examination. Tier III is Pen and Paper Mode i.e. Descriptive paper. Tier IV is Computer Proficiency Test or Data Entry Skill Test.
For each tier, there is a separate syllabus:
1. Tier I:
a. General Intelligence and Reasoning: Questions related to Verbal and non Verbal Reasoning. The types of questions asked are based on topics like Semantic Analogy, Classification, Symbolic or Number Analogy, Figural Classification, Word Building, Coding-Decoding, Symbolic Operations, Venn Diagrams, questions based on pattern folding and completion, Embedded figures, Social Intelligence, Drawing Inferences, Numbers Series.
b. General Awareness: Questions asked are based on Static GK, Currents Affairs on everyday observations and experience. Questions relating to India and its neighboring countries based on History, Geography, Culture, Economic Science, Scientific Research.
c. Quantitative Aptitude: Questions asked in this section are related to Percentage, Profit and Loss, Ratio and Proportion, Mixture and Allegations, Time and Distance, Interest, Graphs on Linear Equations, Square roots, Algebra and Elementary surds, Triangle, Quadrilaterals, Circle, Prism, Sphere, Heights, and Distances.
d. English Comprehension: In this section, the questions are based on English Reading and Writing Skills, English Grammar, Active and Passive voices, Idioms and Phrases, English Basic Comprehension, Cloze test, Synonyms and Antonyms, Sentence rearrangement, One word Substitution, Direct and Indirect forms of Sentences.
SSC CGL Exam Notification 2022 : SSC CGL Exam Pattern
There are different exam patterns for SSC CGL Tier I, Tier II, and Tier III. The basic SSC CGL Exam Pattern is given below:
For Tier I: There is a composite time of 1 hour

Tier I consists of objective type questions with 4 options. Every questions in each subjects consists of 2 marks. There is negative marking of 1/3rd of the marks allotted to each questions.
For Tier II:

Tier II consists of objective type questions with 4 options. Each questions in Paper I (Quantitative Abilities) consists of 2 marks, while each questions in Paper II (English language and Comprehension) consists of only 1 mark. There is negative marking of 1/3rd of the marks allotted to each questions.
For Tier III:

For Tier IV:
In Tier IV, Candidates have to go through skill tests. For some of the posts in SSC CGL, these skill tests include Data Entry Test and other posts have Computer Proficiency Test. Data Entry Test is taken to check the typing speed of candidates. A certain number of words have to be typed in limited amount of time. Computer Proficiency Test is taken to check Computer Fundamental knowledge like Microsoft Word, working on spread sheets.
